Create your Imagine Mars Project, Step-by-Step

First Step Download and read the Participation Guide.

The Participation Guide explains the Imagine Mars Project in depth, gives project and lesson plan examples, provides reference materials, and prepares you to get started on your project.
Then (second) step Explore how other teachers and project leaders have led their students to build communities on Mars.

Check out Mars Project Examples from around the Nation for quick ideas, and the Project Gallery for completed projects.
Next (third) step Design and complete your project.

Decide what activities you would like to use to guide your students through the five steps of Reflect, Imagine, Discover, Create, and Share. Use the Mars Info Central area to find Mars resources for both you and your students to explore. Contact the Imagine Mars team for support, ideas and connections with scientists, engineers, and experts.
Finally (last) step Upload your completed project to the Imagine Mars Project Gallery.

Post pictures, text, and lessons learned to share your project with students all over the world!

All of us at Mission Control look forward to launching you on a successful journey to Mars. If you have questions, please be sure to contact us at ImagineMars@jpl.nasa.gov.
